Post #2: The Next Several Weeks

Post #2: The Next Several Weeks

Feb 18th - First appt with my breast surgeon. She was amazing. After my MRI, she suggested getting 2 more additional biopsies on 2 more suspicious spots found on both breasts.

Feb 19th - 2 more more biopsies

Feb 20th - First appt with my radiation doctor. We discussed what this path looks like and this will be determinated after pathology reports are back.

Feb 21st - First appt with my plastic surgeon doctor. We discussed the series of steps this will be. Wow, this was overwhelming.

Feb 24th - Saw this post on Facebook and it connected w me because I feel like I can’t be who I once was.

Here's a truth bomb: Cancer doesn't mean your life stops.

When I continued living and doing what I loved, people thought I was in denial. But I understood something crucial:

Healing doesn't mean putting your life on pause.

 What I kept doing:

• Activities that brought me joy

• Projects that gave me purpose

• Connections that lifted my spirit

• Goals that excited me

Because here's what nobody tells you: Your life force is your greatest healing ally.

This isn't about pushing yourself when you need rest. It's about refusing to let a diagnosis become your entire identity.

Remember: You're not just surviving - you're LIVING through this.

I comment on this new Breast Cancer support page with the below:

Hi! I'm new to this group. I recently joined because I found out Wednesday that I have breast cancer.  Never in a million years did I think that I would be saying these words.  I am absolutely terrified.

Waiting for procedures / Waiting for appts with my rock aka husband.
