Our Story

Grateful Hearts was born from the idea of wanting to give thanks to a team of doctors who took excellent care of me after I was recently diagnosed with Breast Cancer. I wanted to do more than express thank you in words, or in a card ... I wanted to give a keepsake that could remind my care team of my deepest gratitude and how they profoundly touched my life. That is how our original product, the Grateful Heart, was created. The idea became a focus that helped me get through the first several weeks of my diagnosis and treatments. It was a positive distraction that allowed me to divert my mind to something other than waiting for test results, worrying about everything that came to mind and the struggle of healing after my surgery. My husband and I started researching and brainstorming what could symbolize the feeling that I had for the people around me that were taking great care of me. After much thought, The Grateful Heart was designed. Our Grateful Heart ornament embraces all aspects of gratefulness - with the universal spiral that represents gratitude, to the pink color that represents appreciation and gratefulness, to the heart shape that reflects love and admiration for the recipient.
