Post #6 - Faith Is Our True North

Post #6 - Faith Is Our True North

This ornament was created from a place that feels deeply familiar to so many of us.

It is a cross with a compass pointing north—simple in design, yet powerful in meaning. I wanted to incorporate the compass because, at some point in life, we all feel lost. We lose our confidence. We worry. We allow fear and uncertainty to take over our thoughts, and suddenly we feel off course.

The compass pointing north represents truth, direction, and stability. When everything around us feels uncertain, north remains constant. In the same way, God is constant. He is our true north.

This ornament is meant to be a reminder to pause, look up, and place our trust where it belongs. To give God our worries, our fears, and the things that feel too heavy to carry alone. To surrender not just our struggles, but also our fullness—our hopes, our gratitude, and our faith.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart.”

That verse captures the purpose behind this piece. It’s an invitation to trust even when the path feels unclear, to believe that God is guiding us even when we can’t yet see where the road leads.

My hope is that this ornament finds the people who need it most. That it brings comfort in hard seasons, strengthens faith during moments of doubt, and serves as a gentle reminder that no matter how lost we may feel, we are never without direction when we place our trust in Him.

Faith is our true north—and it will always lead us home.
